So i'm sitting here listening to one of my co-workers explain that he's ready to reach 30 years on the job.  But he has to figure out what he's going to do because when he retires he won't have benefits and will probably need to work to supplement his pension. 

That sucks. After 30 years, you still need to work when you retire.

I can't do it.  I lost a job once and I made it a point in my life not to have to rely on corporate America. Not only am I working every day to make someone else rich,. but anything can change at the drop of a dime and I'm out. It was then I started my entertainment company.  Never really moved forward with it. Was always stuck in the what ifs and the hows and the whys.  But today I have realized again that I need to do something bigger and better.  I have to work on building my resources and building that team.  Its easy to get comfortable in the daily grind as long as its paying the bills.  But what lies ahead for the future?   

My mission is to focus on that again and get back on my grind. 

Long story short. I got a picture mat sitting on my desk and what better way to spice up a boring day in the office.

So I finally uploaded the vidoes for the show.  These were taken with the blackberry. Dwele had Frankie Beverly come out and he was jamming just like he always does!! Do Dwele! Go Frankie!!!!

ETA:The sound and the quality pretty much blow, BUT you got to give a girl credit for the steady hand on the recording!!!!!!

Thats why I do the things I do and treat people the way I do.  Because when their behind is on the  line they talk nuff crap to get back in good.  But when it comes down to IT they revert back to the same ole tired story.

My name origin in French and it means Who is like God.  My dad always said he was told by God what to name me.  Sounds good to me.

I don't dress up for work.  I sit at a desk all day. It just feels like a waste sometimes.  But today I decided to put on a dress.  No special occassion but of course some co-workers asked what the special occasion was.  My response: "You just have to do it for yourself.  I am the special occasion!"

A manager came over and asked what the occasion was. I told him I felt like brightening up my day here at the office.  He said " Well you look very nice, your brightening up the day for all of us." 

 I though that was pretty cool.

First I want to thank Goldie for all her help with this picture stuff!! You rock!

So here are some of the pictures and I say some as I took over 100 of them.  It was a beautiful weekend.  I got to see old friends, make some new ones, and share in my friends special day that went perfectly! We cried, we laughed, we reminisced, and we became faithful that love is a wonderful thing. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Friday is the weekend right?

Any who.  I'm quite anal about things.  It's weird for example all my hangers need to be one color.  All plastic.  I have different colors but then only one color for item type.  For example, pink hangers have skirts on them.  Pink and skirts equal girly.  Ok you get the point.

So I been working on Itunes and I have a lot of random music.  Meaning I have the title but not the correct artist name or album, things like that.  So I been changing stuff manually.  And its real tired right now.

Sooooo....warning this is a long story but its good.  I was at Sugar Hill last night. Me and Dwele and other people.  But mainly it was me and Dwele.  Now I'm not talking groupie love here.  I don't do groupie.  But just a love for talent and good music and great vibe.  Yea so, I'm standing next to a guy who has "one of those" in his hands (that be a iphone, but we don't say that name around blackberry country), and it looks like when a song is playing in the club he has the phone listen to it to tell him what song is playing.  Mmmmmm quite interesting.  I ask Floyd because he knows everything, but hes not sure.  So today Shelly does what Shelly does best, research.   By the way, this is getting to the point.         Ok, and I ask Dre who is leaving blackberry for, in his opinion the more qualified "one of those", and he thinks it's an app.  Ok well I get on a forum dedicated to "one of those" and find a program called Listen.  Your phone will listen to the song, search a database for the title and artist.  Ok now that is dope.  How many times have you been somewhere, heard a dope song, and wanted to know what it was?  Right!  Ok but seems like that might not be around anymore.  I ask Joe and he informs me one of the engineers has the program and its called Shazam  According to the site is a subscription service and you can use it on any phone.  Mmmmmm. I so have to look further into that!!!!

But the point of this post is the real discovery.  While on the Shazam website, I saw an ad for a program that fixes your music!! Basically it will search the tags to provide the correct title, artist and even the album cover.  What?  Where have you been all my itunes life.  Oh this is because if you dont purchase the music from itunes then it will not ID the song.  Anyway.  I am in heaven right now!!!! I actually, through one of my best websites for advise, CNET, found another program, Tuneup Companion that looks to be the program of choice.  I'll come back with a review as Im sure this story right here has been long enough!
